Our History

Precision Rebuilders opened in a small shop in North St. Louis, Missouri in September of 1961. From the very beginning there was a commitment to quality products and service.

During the next two decades, our production facilities were expanded. We increased our production to include a broad line of remanufactured compressors, valves, brake chambers and boosters from a variety of OEM manufacturers.

In 1981 a need for more space took us approximately 50 miles southwest of St. Louis to St. Clair, MO. In 1988, remanufactured heavy duty starters and alternators were added to our product line, as well as heavy duty water pumps in 1992.

The addition of these products and plans for future growth prompted the construction of two new buildings, expanding our production area to approximately 62,000 square feet. Since then, the addition of Lucas brake products, calipers, and fan clutches further expanded the product offering and the need for production space. In 2001 construction began on a fourth building providing additional production area expanding our facilities to approximately 78,000 square feet.
